is soon after his rescue,
scrawny, sickly, and
barely 12 pounds.

And here is Dickens on
July 18, 2003, feisty,
20 pounds, and ready to
move to his new
home in New Jersey.

None of this could have happened without the terrific work of
WTCARES volunteers like Annie, shown her after working with
and rehabilitating Dickens for more than two months.
